Hi Niels,
I just read in the archive this old thread from january.
I've not yet tried to run L4/Hurd, but I've been able to boot CVS Pistachio
and CVS L4Linux-2.4 inside qemu.
You'll find some material at http://ydirson.free.fr/soft/linux/L4/,
including a patched version of GRUB's mkbimage, which I use to generate my
floppy images.
Note that the images currently available in that dir have a problem, which
may be a bug in Pistachio (or not :), but at least we can see pingpong and
l4Linux start booting, even if the boot does not finish.
