If we say "deva can be a library" we are saying that deva will share

I (and I think Markus, too) thought of deva being linked to callers of
deva, so a library on the other side of the interface. That is also not
impossible, but some things (authentication) need to be shifted to other
parts of the system then.

I hope this addresses your question, although I don't know what "a
library on the other side of the interface" means, and why you think
anything needs to be shifted.

I tried to follow the discussion, but frankly, I found it very
confusing.

I didn't actually have a question this time, I was trying to explain the
confusion. It didn't really work, appearently. ;-)

The other side of the interface would be the Hurd, and the capability
system would have to be exchanged for the deva library in this
particular case. Markus was saying that this was not possible, and I
was saying that it was (although I didn't suggest actually doing it, I
just said it was possible). Anyway, I understand now that this isn't
even considered. Which is fine. :-)

Thanks,
Bas
