As someone who has had lots of problems like this in the past, I do
appreciate your trying. Given the slipperiness I guess this should wait
until after the next release along with the other patch to NRG to
allow cd-paranoia to extract a WAV file form it. 

Finally, since the wikipedia indicates how CD-TEXT info is stored that
too could be fixed up.

But all of these are more in the category of feature enhancements and
possibly doing this with a conversion to GPL v3 would go nicely. The
frequency of releases governed by what's changed; I hope it's not too
much of a concern that it isn't going in this release.
