   Hi Jonathan,
   The simplest solution I see is you have a 2core server(dedicated CPU if
   you are using one of those cloud providers) and install nginx +
   nginx-rtmp. Nginx RTMP lets you store recordings and play them back
   using videojs in a html5 page. This should solve your problem of
   streaming to a free software platform using OBS.

   For publishing your recording, a good way is to take your recording and
   upload to one of the peertube([2]https://joinpeertube.org/) or
   mediagolblin ([3]https://mediagoblin.org/). Both are amazing
   decentralized free software tools.

   meeting link to those users a couple of hours before the time of the

   To make the event open for everyone, I'm planning on live streaming it
   with OBS. I don't want to use Youtube or Facebook live. Any
   recommendations to alternatives? or maybe a custom server for that.
   And the last alternative would be a platform to upload the
   recordings. Is there any usable alternative to Youtube?.
   I've researched in internet search engines, but I'd like to read more
   personal experiences and opinions.
