Great.  Thanks.  Is the missing bit something that needs to be addressed 
before the merge back into HEAD?

Alexandre had agreed to do the merge -- once immediately following the 1.4 
release, and then again after I had completed the ltconfig->libtool.m4 
conversion.  However, if you want to do the merge, he might be happy to 
relinquish...

I have no strong feelings about the logistics, so long as the MLB 
functionality is migrated into HEAD with minimum disruption and relatively 
soon (until it is done we now have three branches to maintain: branch-1-4, 
multi-language-branch and HEAD).  I'll leave it to the good judgement of the 
person who does the work -- provided everyone we are agreed to that way 
forward of course =)O|

In an ideal world, I'd like to see the ChangeLogs merged (there is actually a 
massive amount of duplication), but that is secondary to correctly porting 
the functionality.  Again, I think it is up to the person who does the work 
(subject to agreement of the other maintainers) =)O|
