I'll check. Since the CVS libltdl build under MinGW was so
horrendously broken last I checked, I have been testing libltdl fixes
by copying them into an older libtool which still works. At least I
was able to verify that an exhaustive application test suite passes
with my hack to skip loading .a files.
Hopefully Chuck's Cygwin fixes will have some benefit for MinGW and
libtool won't be confused by libltdl's use of a subordinate
convenience library.
