Cool.  I have applied that patch (HEAD, branch-2-0).

Woot?  Please post the output of

  make check VERBOSE=x TESTS='tests/demo-shared.test \
        tests/demo-make.test tests/demo-exec.test \
        tests/demo-inst.test tests/demo-hardcode.test \
        tests/demo-relink.test tests/demo-noinst-link.test'

and if you are using CVS HEAD Libtool, also the output of
  make check TESTS= TESTSUITE_FLAGS=-v
(pack large output, please).
