Agreed.  Oops.

Rationale: I want to be able to
  m4_if([some_condition],
  [LT_CONFIG_LTDL_DIR
   $other_LTDL_configuration
  ])

and preventing that in order to save typing an option isn't worth much
hassle.  Would you agree?

Yep.  I think we already agreed to reject that one, so I'm not sure
why it is still in my patch series file...
