I can only speak for myself.  I have barely enough time to closely look
at those patches that fix regressions.  Those are the ones that should
go in before we do the next major release, 2.2.  I don't have a problem
with unrelated patches if they fix important bugs, or are small,
obvious, very likely not to cause regressions on other systems.  The
wgcc ones unfortunately did not fit in this category, last I checked
them.  This means I personally do not treat them as high priority right
now.  I can understand if you don't like this, and I'm sorry about it,
but I can't help this right now.  Peter Ekberg's patches haven't gone in
for similar reasons, and unfortunately that's been much longer already.

Maybe you can get another maintainer to review them, maybe they think
differently about it.  I don't know.
