Query

Hi folks,

I'm not sure I'm on the correct list but I'll ask my question(s) in anyway
and hope someone can be of help.

I'm currently upgrading my system which uses C, C++ and PERL.  I'm upgrading
from Solaris 2.6 to 
Solaris 8 and wish to know some information.

1) In upgrading to Solaris 2.8 is it essential or desirable to upgrade to
Sun C++ compiler version 5.1 ?

2) In upgrading to Solaris 2.8 is it essential or desirable to upgrade to
Sun C compiler version 5.1 ?

3) As far as I'm aware Sun compiler versions 5.1 are marketed as Forte 6.0.
Is this correct?
