This one's tied up in a fix to the "preferring .la libraries over
earlier libraries" patch. I'm back on top of things now, so
expect the combined patch RSN (I'm trying to get LT_LANG/LT_TAG out of
the door atm.)

This needs a version written for HEAD as well, we shouldn't patch
branch-1-5 until HEAD is patched.

These two need checking and applying to HEAD first (are the patches
against HEAD?)

Have you ever, ever felt like this?
Had strange things happen? Are you going round the twist?
