Good call. Yes, I've just patched HEAD to only install the macro
files if either AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIR is in configure.ac, or if there
is a suitable -I optarg in ACLOCAL_AMFLAGS. Otherwise we leave it
up to aclocal itself to paste copies from aclocaldir into aclocal.m4.
