m68k-unknown-openbsd3.3 at least, that's the one where the problem was 
noticed. The patch would be setting need_version to yes in that case, 
afaict.

We've had similar issues on other openbsd 3.3 cpu-arches, as far as I 
can recall, but I don't have an opportunity to test it anymore. Otoh, I 
can confirm this bug & fix for m68k-openbsd3.3 :)
