According to "git log -p configure.in aclocal.m4" output on master branch,  
the only changes in these two files (the only ones changed by  
cfa910f1c13ae760756692175a733db4e5a8899a "Fix Issue 2529") subsequent to  
that commit are separate tracker issues (issue 1637 and issue 2742), so I  
think cherry-picking cfa910f1c into stable/2.16 is worth considering.
