compiling with gcc-3.2.2

Previously, I successfully installed lilypond-1.6.6 with flex-2.5.23 and
gcc-3.2.  Now, when installing lilypond-1.7.14 with flex-2.5.27 and
gcc-3.2.2, I get the error included below from make.

configure runs with no errors, the configure line I used is:
./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --disable-debug

And just to be sure we're clear on this: flex-2.5.27 supports gcc-3.2 code
(I don't know what that means about gcc-3.2.2), and the second error (the
one that stops the compilation) appears to be generated by flex, not gcc.
