config fails

Just updated from CVS (ChangeLog 1.1088) and when I run './autogen.sh' I
get:
address@hidden lilypond]# ./autogen.sh
WARNING: I am going to run `configure' with no arguments.
If you wish to pass any to it, please specify them on the
`./autogen.sh' command line.
processing .
Running autoconf ...
processing ./stepmake
Running autoconf ...
Running ./configure ...
configure: error: cannot find sources (make/lilypond.lsm.in) in . or ..
address@hidden lilypond]#
I tried doing 'make clean' first and still got this message.
