The tutorial used to have a lot of small music examples with small
explanatory texts. @separate was used to print some separation marks
between adjacent examples+explanation, to make it quite clean what
text belonged to what example:
foe results in bar
[picture with music]
* * *
bla gives baz
Nowadays it only introduces extra vertical whitespace, so if you think
it's not needed, please get rid of it.
