Same here, also with texinfo 4.6 on sarge/sid mixed Debian.

before giving zillions of "Too many errors!  Gave up.", the messages
are:

out/music-glossary.texi:166: @samp expected braces.
out/music-glossary.texi:176: @samp expected braces.
...
out/music-glossary.texi:2460: @samp expected braces.
