Hmm, ok... When extra-offset is set to zero, fret numbers are placed
above the strings. Some tabs use this style, but the majority of tabs
I've seen print fret numbers _on_ the strings. I think the latter
should be default, so we should have a function that compute the
offset. What is the preferred way to implement this?
