I haven't heard any violent objections to putting unicode into python,
so I'm sending this patch as is. It fixes two problems:
The \version statement inserted into the lilypond file is hardcoded
rather than using the version variable.
An ABC file with two T: lines is using the LaTeX construct "//" to
separate the lines, which used to cause them to appear on separate
lines, but now just looks wierd. So I have substituted the unicode
character for punctuation dash (TeX ---).
(This patch also includes the fix to chords that I sent yesterday that
hasn't yet been applied.)
