international fonts in OSX

I'm trying to build 2.5.23 docs in OSX; it fails on 
input/regression/utf-8.ly (file included
below).  The file notes that

You may have to install additional fonts.

Red Hat Fedora

I've installed a number of fink font packages, but it isn't working.  
Does anybody
know what the equivalent fink packages are?
