Yes -- today's CVS is 2.7.8-release plus some small changes. It doesn't
make sense to call it version 2.7.8, since it _isn't_ 2.7.8 (and 2.7.8
has been
distributed "in the wild", as it were). The CVS will always be one
level
higher than the last release.
