Hi,

In section "8.5.3 Hidden notes" of the manual, the old hack of creating LV ties is still present. Since LV ties are now supported, this should be removed (patch attached).

Hmmm, perhaps it is better to replace this hidden-notes-hack with a different example? For example something like this:
\new Staff { << { c''4^"fall"\glissando \hideNotes c'4 \unHideNotes } { s4 r4 } >> }
