Would this really be easier than having a Hairpin.hairpinFullLength 
property?  (while you were away)

Having the hairpins ended on bar lines is less flexible than the 
FullLength idea, although I admit that I can't come up with a situation 
when one would want the cresc to go to the end of the note but still 
end before the next note (other than the bar line case).
