Argh, my POP mail server was out when I removed in git the `:' I had
added.
I wonder whether the style rule you explain should apply to the whole
user manual, as music snippets often continue sentences; I (erroneously)
added colons where I felt the snippets continue the esntence.
Sorry, I don't know good English style, I'd better changed nothing.
