NoteCollision vs NoteColumn

the 2.11.41 docs say that NoteCollision uses note-collision-interface, so I 
would think that:

\once\override Staff.NoteCollision #'ignore-collision = ##t

would work. But it doesn't. But when I use:

\once\override Staff.NoteColumn #'ignore-collision = ##t

then it works; collisions are ignored.

could this be a bug in the docs?
