Okay, a little more digging shows that only ports-*.make used that target, and 
the ports-*.make files are not included anywhere. They were intended for 
automatically downloading and building all mutopia scores...

Is it okay to remove the ports-*.make files and the (local-|)convert-ly 
targets from the make/ly-targets.make file:
