difference between _() and _f()

Subject: difference between _() and _f()

What's the difference between the _() and _f().  I got the impression
that `_' is used for strings without arguments and `_f' for strings
with arguments.  However, there are some exceptions to this...

Please confirm, and I'm going to fix this.
