Sorry for late answer, holiday time!
I'm happy to see that other user, developers and also Jan and Han-Wen
gave their opinion about this change in the treble clef.
I think indeed your last proposal is more acceptable than the first one.
I'm not a font specialist, so I have confidence in above-mentioned
people to take the right decision. I was just afraid because this
change seemed to me to have been considered as a small, almost trivial,
change, which shouldn't IMHO. Glad to see a frank discussion about it.
