Looks like it doesn't like
   input/regression/lilypond-book/papersize-docs.tely

What happens when you try
   out/bin/lilypond input/regression/lilypond-book/papersize-docs.tely
on the command-line?

Could someone else try to make doc?
I just released 2.15.7; the build didn't fail. Try looking at the
lilypond-book regtests to see if they built at all?

As it happens, I did a git pull -r, make and make doc website a couple of hours ago. >It reports itself as 2.15.7 and I didn't see anything odd in the build messages (using make -s QUIET_BUILD=1 WEB_LANGS='' WEB_TARGETS='offline' for the doc and website build). I just looked at the regtests and they seem fine, in that the resulting pages looked fine.

HTH, James!
