Thanks to all for their help.

A couple things:

1) Trevor - I still haven't heard word back about ly:dimension?.  If it
turns out this is not what's supposed to be used, please feel free to
change it to number? in a separate commit.

2) While perusing the visual output of the docs, I noticed that Trevor's
cary.ly example looks different from the 2.14 site.  I'll try to post a
patch to get it to its normal state before I leave.
