Dead horse.
If I had spent *one quarter* as much time writing python code as
I've spent discussing this proposal, this would already be
included in git-cl so developers wouldn't have a choice. (and
certainly wouldn't have any extra burden!)
About 6 years ago, I realized that I was spending more time
talking about the docs than actually working on the docs. I
resolved to be less friendly, and it went great for a few years.
I need to do the same thing here.
I sincerely regret bringing this proposal forward.
