We don't add such warnings to the website, but we would certainly
consider accepting a patch. Unfortunately, this is a fairly
involved process, and without an existing developer interested in
"championing" the patch I don't think it will go far.
Existing developers: this is an easy thing to process with git-cl
etc, so it would be really nice if somebody could deal with it.

lilypond.app is built with a separate process that is mostly
undocumented. See

The short answer is that unless you are interested in spending 10+
hours (complete guess) learning the process, you will not be able
to build the LilyPond.app editor.
