I didn't say that the reasons for arriving at that decision were super
compelling. Just that we ended up with it.
At some point of time there was a mixture. I know that translator names
were a main motivation to have "word syntax" treat "-" and "_"
similarly, to have code continue working even if it did not follow the
"quote it" quasi-convention.
