Linux and Windows binaries seem to work fine in a smoke test
on my machine, tested on two scores, mozart-hrn-3 and MSDM
(Windows binaries tested via Wine). There have been very little
code changes between 2.23.80 and 2.24.0, so I didn't feel a
need to do more extensive tests.
The degree sign glitch is also properly fixed in the doc tarball.
