That's easy, I've done this for a while, but it means continued work
that only saves ignorant users ONE click (select: lilypond), and bring
up a new problem with dependencies: users who update from Cygwin
proper every day.
Anyone's who feels like it is free to do this. You need some
programming experience, bandwidth, and time, for a continued period.
You should at least a couple times a week (but preferrably daily)
check update and check any new dependencies.
FWIW, I do not think there's an easy way out of Cygwin that really
helps. I think efforts should be directed elsewhere.

absolutely nothing to do with making it feel right on Windows.
