Hi all,
I suppose that mr A.Einstein got stuck installing lilypond on cygwin :)
so it's my turn now to tackle the encodings problem in lilypond.
The thing is: are there any other (input) encodings than latin1 and TeX?
As I'm Polish, latin1 is not an option for me, and TeX is a little bit
'inconveniet'. (Try to read this: "g\\k{e}\\'sl\\k{a}" -- this is a
5-letter word!)
And one more thing -- more important than just 'inconvenience' --
there's something wrong with horizontal spacing of words that contain
TeX-encoded characters. This happens both in lyrics and headers.
Please take a look at the attached example: the title is centered only
because I've used \hspace.
The subtitle is not manually corrected, so it's not centered.
Now, the lyrics:
I've written two stanzas: one using TeX-encoded Polish characters, and
the second -- using just latin equivalents. As you can see the spacing
is not the same (it should be I think) and hyphens are misplaced.
thanks,
Pawel
