Markup font in LilyBook

Hi,

How can I get markup text in my Lily snippets in Lilypond Book?

Dvips complains about the missing ecrm1000? font and says that it's leaving 
those symbols blank. In the resulting file, there is no text under the stave 
where I want it. I am running Lily2.4.2 on Cygwin.

So, what is another font hovering around that I could use, and how?
