Hi all
I've gotten Lilypond 2.5.16 on Mac OS X to omit the page number on page
1, by adding an extra
\on-the-fly #not-first-page
to the beginning of line 86 (i.e. the line that now says \fromproperty
#'page:page-number-string)
in /sw/share/lilypond/2.5.16/ly/titling-init.ly
I hope this helps someone.
