Fairchild,
I'm not sure exactly what your question is, but if you want to use the cmr10
font, or another font in your markup, just add:
\override #'(font-name . "cmr10")
to your markup statement.
Or if you are trying to use the cmr10 in your postscript, maybe you need to use
cmr10.pfb instead of cmr10.tfm. I don't know much about postscript.
