Well, somewhat off-topic, there is OzTeX. :-)
I still run lilypond from the
command line all the time (using vim, my favorite text editor). If
you're interested
in that, take a look at the readme for configuration details.
My intent was to perhaps do that. Some other traditional UNIX
installs on Mac OS X I have done, worked just fine.
The OSX editor is a fairly basic text editor; when you "compile" a
score, it just
saves the text file somewhere and calls lilypond on it. There's
absolutely
no disadvantage to using another text editor.
Have you considered a version where one is doing all work only from
XCode? This would save the work on a Mac OS X interface. (I may check
that out myself later. )
In any case, this is a discussion for -user instead of bugs-.
Do suggestions belong to the help list? With Bison, it is the
opposite; there they should go to the bugs list, as developers may
not follow the help list so carefully.
