The error message indicates that you have some syntax
error in your input file. Make sure that your curly braces
match (i.e. that you have a "}" corresponding to each "{").

I don't understand what you mean by
"When I start a new project, it works. But once
stored, I get the above posted output."
since you won't be able to run LilyPond until you have saved
your .ly file.
