Here's a *very* redacted version of a score I might use, where this
all works perfectly. I'm sure you can figure out what I've done and
adapt it to your situation.
cornet = {a b c}
clarinet = {a b c}
\score{
\new StaffGroup
<<
\new Staff{
\set Staff.instrumentName = "Cornet"
\set Staff.shortInstrumentName = "Corn."
\set Staff.midiInstrument = "trumpet"
\transpose d c{
\relative c''{
\clef treble
\cornet
}
}
}
\new Staff{
\set Staff.instrumentName = "Clarinet"
\set Staff.shortInstrumentName = "Clar."
\set Staff.midiInstrument = "clarinet"
\transpose d c{
\relative c'{
\clef treble
\clarinet
}
}
}
>>
}
\score{
\transpose d c{
\relative c''{
\cornet
}
}
}
\score{
\transpose d c{
\relative c''{
\cornet
}
}
}
