You might frame off the background to the right. There two variations
here, the first does it by a slightly darker area, the second by white:

Both sites are in fact rather spartan, like yours. It might help to
identify the area of importance.

With "Linux" one usually means "GNU/Linux" - the operative system is
GNU, and the kernel is Linux. (Like Mac OS X/Mach.)
And the GNU/Linux and FreeBSD are "UNIX-like" (POSIX). Of those
listed, only Mac OS X 10.5 Intel is certified UNIX.
