I'm afraid this snippet won't help (it just ignores the extra space
taken up by an instrument name), since the problem with \markup \score
is that it returns a single stencil for all the systems: this means
you can't change the position of each system individually to centre
them.

As I suggested previously, to use \markup in this situation without
separate scores would require a \score-lines command to be added to
LilyPond.
