That's exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks a lot!

Hi list,

I know this has been asked before but I still haven't managed to find a suitable solution. How to end a measure with a grace note (group), without causing this error: "programming error: bounds of this piece aren't breakable."?

sorry, Peter, I don't understand your question exactly - without your code causing this error and the version used.

with the risk of not answering your question I'd suggest something like

\relative c' {
  c d e \afterGrace f {g16[ f g f]}
}
