Martin Tarenskeen wroteHi, When, using Lilypond 2.19.0, if my score starts with a rest, the resulting MIDI file does NOT start with a rest. %minimal example \score { \version "2.19.0" \relative c' { R1 | c d e f | R1 | f e d c | } \midi {} } %end of example Result: The MIDI file starts without a rest in the first bar. The rest in the 3rd bar behaves normally. Is this a bug, or intentional?I can't reproduce that - could it be your midi player is wrong?
You're right. It's my midiplayer, timidity, that doesn't "count" the first rest.
When I use rosegarden or midi2ly I can see the rest is simply there. Nothing wrong with lilypond. -- MT
