I don't know where you are (I'm in the USA), but what I used to do with
computer technical stuff I wanted (I'm "older than dirt" and like a printed
page!) for work was to print it (2-sided!), then take it to Staples and have
it "comb-bound" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comb_binding. I'd guess for
800 pages, they'd probably charge less than your possible 55USD. If you
don't have Staples, I'd try any printing bureau or office supply store. The
results are bulky but I found them very useful - also in the case of
Lilypond you could keep the original for text searching as Federico suggests
in the next post.
Now, I had access to an
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HP_LaserJet_4000_series#LaserJet_4000 , so this
was feasible - you might find otherwise with the average home printer... 8-(

Subject: Printed manuals, why not?
Hi, I would be glad to have the option to buy printed manuals for LilyPond;
I
thought of making it from some printing service, but for a 834 page book I
should pay 40 Euro, something like 55USD. It could (maybe) be something to
have a contribution. Has no one thought about this? Thanks.
