PS. The case not covered is the one with an even number of stanzas… but
I don’t have a good idea for that, either.
Hi Simon, I had an idea, don't know if it could be useful: if we have four
stanzas, like

1. when ............ good.
2. If ................. maybe.
3. Sometimes ...  well.
4. So ................ try.

If we add at the third place a "phantom" line of text or stanza,

1. when ............ good.
2. If ................. maybe.
HIDDEN ............ good
3. Sometimes ...  well.
4. So ................ try.

And make it invisible, or with a font turned to white, and make the font as
small as it's possible, couldn't it be a trick to center the  {
\lyricsbeforebrace \rightbrace \lyricsfrombrace } ? Just my 2 cents. Thanks.
I would’ve hoped that for the attached files Lily shifted the outer stanzas into the space left blank by the inner one and thus a hack might be possible, but she doesn’t… So, this unfortunately is no way to go, except if there be a possibility to change the behaviour in positioning lyrics, which I hold to be unlikely.

Yours, Simon
