In Frescobaldi go to the Tools menu and select “Snippets”.
(or Snippets menu > "Manage Snippets…")
The snippets panel appears.
Find a snippet in the list and double click it.
The result of the snippet is inserted into your .ly file, wherever your cursor
is.
